I am in the middle of my engine swap and I am taking several misc. brackets and such to the powdercoat folks. I was also considering powdercoating the pulleys. Anyone out there have anything good or bad to say about doing this? I can't think of any problems that I will have, but I thought I would throw it out to you guys first.
That's just what I wanted to comment about. I did my stockers years ago and they came out super nice. The only drwaback was the belts slipped and squeeled like mad so I taped off all but the grooves and sandblasted them and that got rid of the slipping belts. The PC is too slick for the belts to have a good grip

I had a slight suspicion about that, and thats why I posed the question. I was sure that someone had already been there, done that. So it sounds like it will be A-OK to powdercoat them, I just need to scuff the grooves so the belts won't slip. I might try just using a dremel tool and putting sort of a cross-hatch pattern in the grooves. Thanks for the help, I love this place.
