Default Guage bezel

Is there any coating out to redo the chrome/plate on the edge of the guage bezel & the console? I tried on my 68' Camaro a few years ago & looked tacky, thought something new might be out.

Usually people just use the silver model paint pens unless you want to pay to have it rechromed.

I THINK it is PPG that is out now with a TRUE chrome paint, but you would be spending a pretty penny on that as well I am sure but it would definitly be cheaper than having someone else do it.

Another thing I have seen is people using chrome pinstriping on those areas then trimming it off. Looks like CRAP when it peels (which it will after awhile) but as a temporary fix you could try that as well.

Someone else mentioned using the silver Sharpie marker. It's a $2 investment but it may look OK.

The silver paint pen is the way to go. It was silver paint to begin with. I did my center console all the way around the raised area with a silver paint pen and it looks awesome.

Take your pick.

I think I used the one made by Uchida but any of these would do the trick.

If you can find a silver paint pen, use that. I use the silver sharpie and it looks ok, but rubs off after a bit in the high use areas.
