I have read several posts here about you guys moving the bracket to the top of the t/a. I'd like to see a couple of pictures to get a general idea of placement.
The previous owner put 8" (AZ code) rims on the '68, and it looks like the tire flexed a little bit too much and took the left braket right of the t/a. The right one only has about 1.5 mm clearance. I ordered the new brackets, but dont want to wory about taking a turn too hard and losing the parking brake again.
Pics please!!
As always, all help is greatly appreciated!!!!

Is it best to just hook the cable to it and find a good spot for it where it wont bind or interfere with anything??? Or is there a certain "correct" spot where it should be placed?

That should work fine, attach the cable to it and see where the bracket "wants" to be... there is enough adjustment in the cable (adjustment screw/nut) so I don't think the bracket has to be within a few thousands of it's original location..
Hopefully somebody who has done this sees this and posts a photo for you...

Thats what I'm hoping for. Thanks for your input though. I may just try to eyeball it and see what happens. If its wrong, I get to play with the grinder again. Thats always fun!!

I gave thought to doing this and read about it here on the forum but my new t-arms were powder coated when they came in and I just didn't have the heart to ruin the coating to move the brackets. Maybe later on I will attempt this one. If you do it, make sure to post some pics. If the search worked I am sure there have been pics of this done on here before.
