Out of frustration with trying to find a suitable ramp for undercarriage work, I built these (with strength enhancements). Lotsa clearance under the vehicle:
I bought a set of Rhino Ramps from Pep Boys and they work great on the C2. They are plastic can be hosed of with no worries if they get oily. RR come in two weight capacities. Get the silver/light grey ones, not the black ones. The silver have a higher rating and are very stable. I think I paid $30 for the pair.
I also built my own, used 2x10s for the sides and 2x12 for the deck with several cross stringers glued and screwed. Ramps are 64" long with detachable parking pads so the ramps can be removed after the wheels are on the pads. Can roll under from sides on a creaper and very easy to drive up front or back and they dont slide and can stop anywhere on the ramp you choose. Some people here say they would never trust wooden ramps but so far i have had my vette, mustang, jeep and dodge quad cab 4x4 on them. Wish i had built them years ago.

I've got them too. You have to brace them on smooth finish concrete though. I used them for all my vehicles (including the suburban) with no problems.

I have had a set of the black Rhino Ramps for around 10 years now and they are great. They have a rubber foot on them that keeps them from scooting on my floor. They should be good for at least another 10 years at my house. I usually jack the corvette up and place one ramp one direction and one the other. This way the car cannot move when you let it down. Just my way of chocking the wheels if I am going to leave it up and work on it for a while.
No. The lift is hydralic. I built the ramps to make it a little easier to position a car on. Especially the vette because it sits lower than most cars.
