I've owned my car since 2001 and I've only put a little over 1000 miles on it. It's not so much being broken but more of work schedule, weather, insurance restrictions. I really only take it out for drives...I never park or leave it where it will be out of my sight for more than a few minutes. It's just not safe here.....the chances are too good it might be stolen or damaged by some third world thinking mentality.

I bought my '69 in 1976. I have driven 142,000 miles. It has taken me to CA twice, OK once, NH countless times. I travel around IA, where I have lived since '77 regularly. It sees it 7000 RPM redline on almost every trip. When it was a slant plug 2.02 intake 350/350 it saw its 6000 on almost every trip.

My '61 has taken me 32,600 miles including several NH trips since I rebuilt it and got it on the road in '87. I rebuit it from a stripped total. This past weekend we had record and near record temperatures, and drove 340 miles Saturday and over 200 miles, with the top down, Sunday.

I have kept both of my Corvette mint and FULLY functioning because I LOVE their looks and performance in FULL convertible livery!!

Default Buy another one!

The trick is to own more than one. I have slowly worked up to 3 corvettes and now repair down-time is gone. (LIFE'S TOO SHORT) As soon as I can save some more of my childrens inheritance, I am going to buy a C-2 coupe!

I've had my '78 daily driver for 20 months and put 250 miles on it every week! I drive it all year round in NJ! It's definitly not a show winner but it's mine and I love drivin' it! Never had any issues with rain and it's not too bad in snow either! KEEP DRIVING!!!

I've owned my '80 for 11 years. It is and always has been my daily driver other than one 2 year period of letting it sit due to worn out suspension, engine and my having other priorities. It used to be a 'gutless wonder' but had really nice paint. Now The performance is decent but the paint is shot. I plan on painting it this summer.

I have two vettes. One is my daily driver, a 86 C4. Well, it is my sunny day daily driver. I drive my truck to work when it is raining.

The other is my 73 454. That one is my take it out at least once a weekend for an hour or so. As long as its not raining. And why an hour.....because at $2.50 per gallon, and 7-8mpg, it costs too much to keep driving. Besides, I always have to get back in time to wipe it down, shine it up, fix something, and cover it for my next weekend drive.
