Throttle Cable
I just replaced the QJet and intake on my 69 L46. I installed a performer intake and a Demon carb. My question is, will the sock bracket for the throttle cable work? If not what do I need?

on my 77 i used a bracket from the Bow Tie Overdrive for the speed demon and performer intake since i upgraded to a 700r4 i needed both the TV bracket and the accelerator bracket ....in looking at my stock stuff i'm not sure it would have worked. since the linkages are in slightly different spots....heres some pics of the bracket i used

His cable and bracket are different from the later years. Dean has a few options. 1- replace your existing cable and bracket with one that uses the square retainer so that you can use these aftermarket brackets; 2- Try to find the nearly impossible to find cable bracket for a 70-72 LT-1, or; 3- Fabricate an intermediate mount that you can mount your original cable bracket assembly to.
