putting money into a 72
If you're planning on selling stop now and get out. you have a 33 year old car that will continue to need work. Depending on how it was used or abused during this time will be a big factor. the deal with most C1-C4's now is there are few with full histories. The items you're dealing with now are age related and I'm willling to bet if you look closely underneath there will work required that will run in the thousands not hundreds, even if you can do a lot of the work. I'm not trying to disappoint you by any means but when I look at a vette for sale interior items aren't the biggest concern. I look at the suspensions, drivetrain, frame, birdcage and paint. I would buy a solid car with good paint needing complete mechanical rebuilding over a higher mileage car that has been worked on little by little her and there.
Now if you deicde you want to keep it and get it roadworhty let me know and maybe I could help you rebuild things.
Good luck, 72's are a nice car- I have one
