Problems remounting altinator???
OK so I notice the dufis that mounted the alt before either lost that steel sleeve insert on that goes into the bottom mount on the alt and just put it in there and tightened it down. So I have to get that sleeve. But when test fitting it I noticed the belt is to short I have a 15525 belt but I am wondering if maybe my valve covers are to high and wont allow for any more adjustment. If you guy have pics on how your alt is mounted with aftermarket valve covers could you please post them. I have holleys but I got the short ones so should be good right???

i actually got a smaller belt for mine...but i had to remove the valve cover to put it on since the alt was hitting the cover and not allowing me to get to the end of the slot...... once the belt was tight, i had about 1-1.5" to the cover from the alt...
