Rear Wheel Camber
Thanks for any help - suggestions,
Mark
The camber is adjusted by the strut rods which run parallel and above your driveshafts connecting the base of the spindle support arm (where the shocks mount) to the bracket assembly which bolts directly to the Differential carrier assembly.
You may have worn bushings at either end of the strut rods. If so remove them and replace. The shock mounting bracket is a BITCH to get out. It may be that your camber bolts are loose allowing the strut rods to move out of alignment or just that your alignment is out.
According to the factory assembly manual set as follows.
1. Loosely assemble (finger tight) cams and attaching parts at inboard end of strut.
2 Rotate cam to obtain specified camber.
3.Hold camber setings and torque nut with rear suspension at D height of 2.21 in. (torque setting 55-75 FT)
"D height" is the height between the centreline of the outside strut arm mounting hole to the centre line of the inboard strut arm mounting hole.
This can be acheived by jacking up your trailing arm to the specified height. Dont let it just hang down because your alignment will be out.
Hope this helps. If u want I can scan the pages and send direct to your e mail.
