Should I redo the interior before paint, or vice versa
I have all the parts to redo the interior... sound deadener, reflectix, carpet, door panels, freshly painted trim pieces, etc... Should I wait until I can get the car repainted to install this stuff? What do you guys think? Or just install it while I have time, and then worry about paint?
Or should I just go ahead and install it first and then try to find a painter.
BTW, does anyone know of someone good in the Chicago area (NW suburbs preferred) for painting? I really don't want to spend more than 5k on paint/prep. How long do you think it'll take to get my car painted? I've heard some horror stories about it taking 6 months. I'd love to have my car done in a month if possible.
Thanks for all your help!!

Once all the sanding starts for the painting you will wonder how all that dust got in the inside of your car even when you have the windows up. I say interior after paint.

Definately do the interior after the paint job. As far as a painter, have you tried posting this in the Great Lakes section? You might get a much better response there. An awful lot of Chicago people never venture into the C3 section.

I'm doing my interior AFTER the new motor goes in. Same would go for paint. I don't want any mechanic or painter parking his carcass on my new leather interior. Needless to say dirty, oily or paint covered shoes on my new rug.
