Default C4 or C5 - You decide

My company just announced that they are discontinuing our lease car program. I have a sucky 2003 Ford Taurus (hey, where else can you get a car for 60$ a month, tax payroll deduction) until November. My wife wants me to get a truck but I have been thinking that since she has gotten every type of new/used car that she wanted since we were married (10 years) that it is my turn to choose. I have not talked to her about it yet. I am thinking C4 or C5. I really like the C5's as a daily driver, which this car would be, but I think I could convince my wife easier if I went with a C4 because they are cheaper in price. I am looking to spend up to about $30 grand. What do you guys think?
C4 or C5?

Next vette for me will be a C5. One reason is that I can't fit in a C4 and fit just fine in a C5. (too tall)

A C5 would be easier to fit in, since you wouldn't have to climb over the C4's high door sill.

Default C2 C3 C4 C5

I have had them all . Less from the wife in the C5 over any other car. If you buy the C5 you might have the opportunity later for a C6, but if you buy the C4 and she doesn't like the high step entry you will be doomed. I had the C4 and the wife threw when she found I was buying a C5. Now after 6 years of the C5 we are both in the corvette club and she drove on the track last month.

So the decision is up to you best of luck.

Without a doubt, I'd go with a C-5. they have less problems and issues than C-4's and parts and service is easier to get.

I vote 95-96 c4

I had a 99 before my 95 the 95 has much more vette feeling to it. You will miss your center gas lid if you get the c5...too rommie, to big period after having a c3 it will feel like a caddy.

I have a C5 and I have driven C4s and I would definitely recommend the C5. They are fantastic cars.

I don't think you can go wrong either way. I bought my first non shark vette, a 92 6 spd, about 9 months ago for less than $10k and use it as a daily driver. It's a lot of fun driving to work every day. However if I had $30k to spend I would have bought a C5 or maybe a ZR-1.
