fuel gauge not working
ok I'm down to the last few bugs , I have new wiring thru out the car , how can i check the sending unit? I sure hate to pull the dash out ..............again

Pull the wires off the sending unit. Measure the resistance between the two terminals. You should get somewhere between 0 and 100 ohms.

"nothing at the gauge" means what? Where is the needle pointing? If it's pointing way past full, then there is an open circuit in the wiring to the sender. If it's pegged low, then there's a short to ground in the circuit. Start out by measuring the resistance of the sender, then check for shorts in the wiring. If the sender checks out OK and you can't find a problem in the wiring, then the gauge itself is bad.....
