I'm planning on putting around 550 ft/lbs of torque into my differential, and I want to know if this thing can take it. I'm going to be pulling it out to fix the leaks, maybe replace the yokes, carrier and gears. I just want to know what the limit is on the housing, frame, etc.

You can run the cast iron diff and it will bolt up to your aluminum wing. You will have to change a few other things though like your 1/2 shafts, strut rods and spindle flanges.

It sure can add up. $275 for 2 new shafts. I'de recommend adjustable strut rods. $119 Spindle Flanges i think are like $80 each x 2. Plus you'll need a diff rebuild w/gears and side yokes and not to mention a cast diff. Problably $1300 - $1400.
