Another speedo gear question...

Another speedo gear question...
To anyone who has replaced the gear on a TH350, I am being told by 1) a transmission guy I know and 2) a vette vendor that the correct gear is the smaller gear around 18-20 somthing teeth. Two different sites list the larger as being for automatics with 34-45 teeth. can't really tell buy sticking my finger in the hole with tranny in the car. Here is a link to a picture with both gears. You might want to check this site out as to what you need. But order from your local chevy dealer (about $4 per gear)

I ended up using the small gear 18 teath with
3.36:1 rear
225/70 15 tires
4 speed.
