I hope this isn't a dupe... not a C3 but a cool show anyway. They are running a series on the DIY (Do-It-Yourself) Network called Classic Cars. They just had a 1/2 hour show about a 62 vette. They replaced a few suspension bushings, shocks, rebuilt the brakes, new exhaust etc. Next 1/2 hour they pulled the motor. On saturday they will pull the body trim and start body work. Later in the day they have one for the interior. I set my DVR to record the whole series. They do other cars as well. I think a '68 Camaro has a series.
Its not bad... the host is a bit weird but its fun to watch. NO hop up parts at all. He removed an old nasty steel wheel with a plain white wall tire and showed the viewers that it was fine since it had no uneven wear. Looks like though. Then re-assembled the brakes without replacing any of the rubber lines and only a few of the shoes. They yanked the motor and rattle canned it fully assembled with just the heads removed.
Normally on these shows they roll in new chrome brake parts from today's sponsor and then at least hop up the exhaust and wheels. They replaced the exhaust with new stock style parts. I like it. No pimpin' at all just porojects normal people do in the garage with tools you can buy for less than $1000 bucks.
Just a side note... they just aired the show after called Tricked Out. They added an intake, computer module and exhaust to an 04 base Toyota Matrix. Spent $1500. Dyno runs? Base of 104 HP was increased to a whopping 111HP and they were pleased!!!!!!!!
