While I vacillate between selling off a big block and bunch of Corvette specific parts and drop a crate motor small block in -or - installing the all but finished 454 --- I’m not sure exactly what pulleys I’ll need if I do install the bb --------- I have all the brackets for the alternator/power steering, and will have to mod a bracket for my later model ac compressor.
And now finally the question what pulleys do I need,?
What will work other than any ultra rare NOS Corvette pieces?
Where do I get either of the above?
My stock '74 with all options belt setup includes the following pulleys and belts: a double groove pulley on the crankshaft, triple groove pulley on the water pump and a double groove pulley on the power steering pump. It also includes an idler pulley to offset the forces from the A/C compressor. Belts from the rear most track out: crankshaft to water pump (with the idler pulley); crankshaft to water pump to power steering; power steering to alternator; and water pump to A.I.R. pump and A/C compressor (one belt).
My AIM manual has illustrations of each option and belt combination, so if this isn't sufficient, I can probably scan the page(s) and shoot them to you. Most large suppliers such as ZIP, Ecklers, MidAmerica Corvette, Dr. Rebuild, etc. have the pulleys available. Some in both NOS and aftermarket flavor. If you get into something like March setups, I can't help you.

Oh, and unless gasoline cost are a concern, even the mildest big block properly set up will give you tons more driveable torque than a small block (let the flame wars begin)
Steve's74 -- thanks I'll try to search out a pic, but this is very helpful.
I've driven a big block '67 elCamino for quite some time. It has mild cam, but like you said: plenty of seat-of-the-pants, on-the-street, get-the-vehicle-movin' torque.... this is the main reason I
m having such a hard time dumping it all for a small block.
