Problem installing Keisler TKO
Bullshark
You are correct, the yoke is still on the muncie, which is sitting on the workbench looking very forlorn
Sorry for the problem on the driveshaft. As we now both know, the correct driveshaft was on the sales order, but the incorrect one was shipped. Our production department is aware of the problem, and has checked all other customer orders so the similar mistake should not be repeated.
It was good talking to you today, and I'm glad our Customer Service department was able to quickly resolve the problem and get the replacement driveshaft out to you immediately.
Thanks again for your patronage,
Shafi Keisler

I hate that you took that advice, as we NEVER cut these cars - PERIOD. Jmort of Classic Chevy recommended that because all of his transmission packages to Camaros, and the like require cutting. It is unfortunate that he has once again interjected himself into a situation where he does not belong. As you know, Corvette guys don't generally want to molest their car. That is why we properly engineer the no cutting, Perfect Fit kit.
If you want to repair the damage caused by Classic Chevy's advice to a customer of our product, I will pay the costs of repair. Please contact us and we will explain how this centering problem is resolved, so there is no confusion.
At KEISLER ENGINEERING, we have a full time Technical Support department, Customer Service department, and over 20 employees dedicated to making the best transmission system on the planet. Please do not hesitate to call us at 865-609-8187:

...Originally, Inland Driveline starting making these 1330 strap style yokes at our request - specifically for the Corvette/TKO crowd. I made sure to ask them to confirm that their broach (the tool that makes the splines inside the yoke) would produce a yoke that would properly fit the TKO.
...
4) If there is a 1 1/2" difference between the 68-79's and the 80-82's, then there should be two different, distinct driveshafts. 1 1/2" is too great of a variance - this is not a one-size-fits all situation.
5) As you are all seeing, when installing a TKO into a Corvette, or any other car for that matter (Camaro, Chevelle, etc.) there is always the possibility that some minor mods may need to be made. As much as we all like to see an easy bolt-in, no mod swap, that takes 4 hours to do, sometimes this is just not possible for whatever reason. ...My advice to anyone going into this swap is to be prepared to have to adjust, trim, or "massage" something to make it fit. ...With that said, if you are 100% adverse to any potential mods (even minor ones) then this swap may not be the best thing for you.
I hope this helps.
No it does not help. Your involvement on this thread has been harmful to our customers:
1. you involved yourself in the slip yoke issue, even to the point of having our customer send you OUR parts; This is ridiculous. We already issued the replacement slip yoke to our customer. He was offended you became involved, and calling him on Easter Sunday to mettle in our business is fundamentally wrong; Also, to say thay you had the 1330 strap type yoke made is an outright deception. I contracted Lee at Inland to make these for us. At the time, he had been making 1350 yokes for some time. KEISLER contracted them for the large order to produce these, and you benefit from it parasitically.
2. you advised our customer to cut his car; again, ridiculous and something we never do unless instructed and advertised; while this is normal for your business, it is not for ours.
3. you make broad statements to our customers on this thread that they will need to modify their car when fitting our transmission kit, which is an outright deception; In NO circumstances is this required for C2 and C3 cars - PERIOD.
4. you utilize this thread to promote your company so you can sell your product - again; the moderators already shut you down for this before
My company, and our customers do not need, solicit or require your support to resolve any questions or issues they have. We have informed you of this before. I've even called you personally to discuss the matter.
With the age of technology, any good 19-year old web jockey can copy our web-site and marketing materials, then construe them for their own benefit, allowing a company that's in business for fewer months than the fingers on two hands to put forth the false image of one that has solidly engineered and innovated the market for years, and continues to do so.
It's a shame.

We do not quite know how to respond other than to say that we always offer our honest opinions and suggested solutions to questions that people bring up with regard to the TKO transmission. It is our understanding that this is a public forum in which we are all eligible to participate.
Our interest in this public thraed was to find out why there was a problem with the slip yoke because it is the same one we offer to our customers.
We are of the belief that there is more than one answer/solution to a problem and we are willing to accept different view points. We also believe that participants in this forum are intelligent enough to digest every comment written on this thread and come to a reasonable conclusion for themselves as to what is best for them.
We will not waste the participants of this forum's time trading negative comments that do not serve anyone in a positive way.
We are sure Keilser has a fine product and you will be happy with your new TKO’s.
