adjusting windows
Is there someplace I can read up on adjusting the power windows so that they slip into the weather seals like they are supposed to. Also what components most often need to be replaced in the window system with age. Thanks

The AIM for your year would show the adjusting points but I have found that the GM Service /Chassis Manual gives a better and more detailed procedure on how to adjust the windows. I don't know what year your Corvette is but I have the manual for my 68 and if your's is a 68 I would be glad to photocopy the pertinent section and mail it to you. I don't know how different the procedure is for the other years. If you want the 68 version, let me know.

Many cars I've seen have the windows a little too far forward and they won't fit into the seals properly. The windows can be adjusted fore and aft by loosening the screws on the forward run at both top and botton. You may have to readjust the tilt after this is done. The two screwas in the center of the door about 5-6" apart are the ones which control the tilt. Instruction for adjustment are in the AIM as well.
