This is hanging on the drivers side engine compartment by the brake booster. I don't see a place to plug it in. Does it Look familiar to you on a '79?

Look like the plug for the brake warning light. Should plug into the brake distribution block.

And then his brake warning light will come on I bet, probably because the system wasn't properly bled at some point and the brake light wouldn't turn off.

follow the brake lines from the master cylinder down towards the frame, you'll see the distribution box there.

it's a big brass thing with lines going in and coming out and has a white plastic socket in the middle...can't miss it. It's on the frame rail below the brake booster
