This weekend Carl brought his 71 by.He has a grest car but was becoming frustrated with his dream. Timing was off, carb needed adjustment, and he was running the wrong type of fuel. All of these were not his fault, and he learned a lot. Now his vette is running better, but importantly he is enjoying it more.
Many vette owners tire of these cars because they don't get the help or advice they need. "My brother told me..." or "Bubba said to..." doesn't help our sport. We spent three hours climbing all over his car and it only cost him the gas and a drive on a sunny day. This forum is an outstanding place to meet and get GOOD advice when needed. Let's all realize that next time we answer a post.
I am looking forward to meeting Carl again and anyone else that enjoys Corvettes. A picture of the results.

Hey Keith,

So glad to hear of help like this, the sport needs all the help it can get! I really, really need to get the tripower tuned up, or taken off; one or the other!

I'm coming over to that side for the JeffCo Car show on the weekend of 4/23. I won't have the Vette, but it would be cool to meet up with you!! Maybe swap sea stories as well as racing tall tales!

Let me know if you're interested, I'll send you my cell # and meet somewhere! (Potential new g/f and I will be staying in the haunted castle in Pt. Townsend!)

Later,
Paul
