I have a pair of Corvette valve covers I want to install on my stock 75 350 . The problem they don't have a oil fill hole in the cover. I went to the Junk yard and found a intake manifold for a chevy small block with the fill hole in the manifold. My question is will it work on my 75. the number on the manifold I bought is 3844459. only paid 5 bucks for it so if it doesnt work its no big deal. Thanks for any help in advance.
A small block is a small block. It will fit , however it does not have the EGR crossover passage. It will be easier to drill a hole in the valve cover for the oil fill or use the PCV hole to fill the crankcase. By the way, that intake manifold is worth alot more than five dollars to someone who is restoring an old engine.

Assume you're putting this setup on a 350. Proceed with caution. You're going to end up with no crankcase ventilation. There are lots of threads in the C1/2 section regarding this subject. Since teh engine has no road draft tube provision, like the early 60's 283/327, there has to be a provision made for ventilation. The usual spot is the valve cover. Some guys with early cars have drilled and tapped teh manifold in the rear for a pcv fitting and then used the manifold mounted oil fill as an air inlet.
