As of yesterday, I have gotten all but one light on my '76 working. When I brought it home last December, only the brake light indicator on the tach face and two side markers lit up and none of the gauges worked. A new dash harness, turn signal switch, ignition switch and a few other bits and pieces have solved nearly all of my long list of electrical problems.
The rear courtesy light is the last holdout, and the socket that the bulb fits into is missing the contacts. Is this a standard socket or a Corvette-only deal? I bought a replacement for the silver plastic frame for the socket and the opaque white cover, but I haven't yet located the socket itself. I could probably fab up something that would work, but I would rather go with the correct socket if possible.
Foggy memory ... long time since I saw my interior ... in boxes now.
Isn't that one of the tube-lamps - that is held between two
pointed contacts ? Have you tried Ebay - for a used assembly ?
