Why, you ask?? It has been a bad winter, lots of snow = lots of salt and I haven't driven the vette in at least 2 months! I wouldn't want to take the vette out with all the salt left on the road even if we did have a nice day. The rain like this will wash all the salt away, so later this week when we get a nice warm sunny day the vette comes out!!!!
(I would consider driving the vette on a freak warm midwinter day but I would have to make sure I gave myself enough time afterwards to thoroughly wash the undercarriage)

Flip the coin ...
My vette won't be ready to drive for another 2 months ...
so call me sick, but I'd rather have 2 feet of snow than two inches of rain.
Oh - make that 2 inches of mud everywhere.
PS- got my skimobile running nice ... just in time for the big melt.
I -DID- however enjoy the warm weekend working on the vette.
Last night my wife said she loves the sound of rain. I asked why, and she replied because its not snow. I too can't wait to drive the vette once I get the new rear end rebuild completed.

I feel the same way..sometimes when I tell non Corvette people this they look at me like I just got dropped off by a spaceship or something. I always wait for a couple of good rains to wash the salt from winter away.
I absolutely agree! Lots of snow this winter=lots of salt on the roads. My vette is ready to be on the road but until there is more rain and then a few warm days to dry all the run-off I'm staying in. Sad but necessary.
It is almost time, my vette has not been started in 4 months (and I am crossing my fingers that she will kick over on the first try). So i am very anxious to see all the salt cleared and the pavement dry. I am hoping for a dry spring

Two month is not that long. The last time i took my vette i think we were in october and i wont be able to drive it before the first week of May. I have to wait that all the snow is melted and the water is all gone from the streets.
