Short in wiring by shifter?...
I have quite the anti-theft device, but it didn't come about intentionally. My buddy, who I bought the car from had some work done on the tranny. When things were put back together, a wire got pinched somewhere, somehow, so now when anyone tries to start the car, you have to hold the shifter up and to the left just right before it will start? autos need to be in park or N to start. What kind of relay is there that might have some faulty wiring, which is giving me this issue when starting the car in P. I've got wiring diagrams at home, but haven't looked through them yet. Just not looking forward to pulling the center console apart.
