Had the alignment done after rebuilding the chassis. Installed the new tires and took it for a ride, The steering still is darty.( If that's a word).
Any ideas???
Also the rearend sits 1.5" higher on the rt side. I used the original spring. I don't remember it being that way when I took it apart 2 years ago.
VBP's alignment specs are great-I use them on all the Vettes I align. Toe the car in on the high side of the specs and it sure helps the steering without wearing the front tires. Also make sure the caster is maxed out-and do not set the caster higher on one side to compensate for road crown-this really makes the steering feel darty.
Mine was darty and I couldn't figure it out, probably would still be trying to figure it out, but I blew out a rear tire and I had them replace both rear tires. .....and the dartiness went away....weird. Just sharing in case you can't find anything.
