Default Power window help PLZ some relay and circuit breaker help

Well I just got my vette a few days ago. (77 coupe) While driving I put down the windows half way and about a half hour later neither window works. I know where the fuse panel is but no clue what fuse is the one to check and how to go about trouble shooting this. Also if i need to take any panels off can you give me a breif description how. New car to me so any help would be appreciated.

UPDATE BELOW - alot more info

I believe the connection sometimes becomes bad at the fuse block. The silver looking rectangular things in the fuse block can be take out then reinserted to re-establish conection. I use a little dielectric grease on the contacts. There may also be a relay but I don't know where that is.

Mine would quit working intermittently and that silver thing was the cause. I would reach under there and push on it and it would work again for a while. I finally put some dielectric grease on the contacts and they have worked fine since then.
Good luck.

Hmm I see one of the silver box things on my fuse panel (which is in one hell of a spot) but its for the wipers. Cant seem to find a diagram of fuse box to tell which is the window fuse.

My 76 has more than one of those silver fuse things. It's about 1/4"x1" and plugs in like a fuse. Turn your key on and push the window switch and wiggle those silver thingys.

OK took some panels off etc and did some testing. At the fuse box there is a big black boc that plugs into the fuse fox. From this big black box there is a orange wire and pink with black stipe wire goin up in the dash. to the center console there is what looks like a relay or something with a pink nd black strip wire and orange and black stripe wire plugging into to it. Also coming from the relay thing is a red wire leading to the 2 switches.
Now the red wire coming from the relay isnt getting power at all. And the orange wire to the relay is a constant hot but the pink isnt. Now i noticed the one at the black box at the fuse panel is orange with no stripe and the one at the relay is orange with a stripe. Gonna go back and see if i can trace the harnesses around and figure whats going on. Im thinking maybe just this relay thing is bad or maybe the orange wire is a constant power type thing and the pink is the wire that opens the relay for the power to go thru to the window allowing the motors to run. At this point im 99% sure its one of these two peices thats messed up. either the black box thing at the fuse panel or the relay thingy under the dash.
EDIT - just took both the relay and black box thing out of the car. The black box thing is plugged into the fuse box by 4 prongs and has a seperate wire that plugs into another spot on the fuse panel.

It's starting to come back to me now. I think the relay is in a pain in the azz spot under the radio bezel. I relocated mine to the left of that behind the access panel on the console. I do remember having to replace that relay now. However, when my windows quit the last time, it was that silver thingy I spoke of earlier. That black box is a buzzer for the door open or key in ign. isn't it? Maybe some one else will chime in soon that has a clearer understanding than I. I can only tell you what I remember. sorry I hope it's the relay but mine was in a heck of a spot to get to.

Man finally got the windows working. Previous owner had used some serious redneck engineering. But honestly if was fun just sitting in the garage working on her (the vette). Im glad I didnt just buy a new car. I got my dream car and a project too keep me busy. Plus I find working on cars enjoyable.

He had a few extra wires going to the window switch lol. I think he might have m y hazards cross wired with the windows. So now to get my hazards working right and Im good to go get a inspection sticker.
