Crazy driver side door acting up!
Driver side door will only close half the time. Most of the time the outer door handle has no tension or resistance to it like a perfectly performing C3 door handle should. Usually there is resistance in the handle untill about half way down and then the latch release and the door is unlocked and can be opened. Well, my door handle is as loose as a goose, its not catching whatever is underneath and i have to jiggle the lock/unlock toddle on the inside of the door and pull the inside handle out. Usually when the lock/unlock toggle is up,( in the locked position) and the inner door handle is out ( as if to open the door from the inside) I can here a clicking sound and then the door will both shut properly and i'll have the familiar tension back in the handle untill i open the door again ( from the inside handdle ) and the darn process starts all over again,..i have no tension in the outside handle and the door wontr shut! I cant be the only one to experience this! Anyone no off any simple fixes, and how do i get the lock/unlock toggle and inner handle of the inside of the door?Very very frustrating! Thanxs in advance.

Sounds like you are going to have to remove the door panel and start from one end and go through the whole mechanism. That is what I would do. Sounds like a broken door handle spring..(inside), or possible bent rod. If it was me I would open it all up and go through it. Nothing more frustraiting that having a door the does not lock/unlock correctly! Joe!
