C3 Voltmeter
When did they switch from an ampmeter to a voltmeter in the C3s? (1976 or 1977) I'd like to install a voltmeter where the ampmeter lives but have it look somewhat like it belongs there. So I figure I'd install one from whenever they first switched to have it match. I am aware of the wiring changes I have to make.

Hmmm. My '76 has an ammeter. Wouldn't be the first non-year-correct replacement I've found on the car! 
As best I can tell, I have an early '76; maybe the change happened at the early-late division that year?

Not to beat a dead horse, but like Vette Gator implied, could the early 1976 have ammeters and the later ones have voltmeters. I'm looking around and so far I've been told that 1976s only came with ammeters.
