I think I remember that the purple wires need to be soldered together, as they are neutral safety. Now the last couple questions I have are.
1. How are the reverse lights wired?
2. Where can I buy a adpter for the speedo, electrical to mechanical.
3. What was the driveshaft length again?
4. Anyone have a picture, drawing or specs on the adapter the made to use the th350 crossmember?
I have the purple wire tied together to bypass the neutral safety switch. The only other question I can answer for you is #2. http://www.abbott-tach.com/cablex.htm They're not cheap though.
I used a 93 C4 aluminum driveshaft. Length is 26.80" and seems to be perfect length. You'll need a conversion ujoint for the rear to the pinion. Depending on the year T5 you have, I took the gear driven electronic sendsor out and replaced it with a mechanical gear insert with a new driven gear. Haven't messed with the reverse lights yet but shouldn't be a problem. Remember to get your angles right (opposite) at the pinion and the tranny. Good luck!

Where did you get it from, I can't seem to find one.
I have always been interested in doing that exact conversion on my 82. I have a couple of junk Camaro donor cars. Let us know how that goes and where you find the parts to complete the job. Also, did you use the Camaro pedals and Hydrulic clutch setup?

Hey Ed, I am using pedals from a vette. I am using the hydraulic setup from a camaro, as well as the trans. I am getting close to dropping it in, so I will be posting pics. The hardest part seems to be the pedal swap, my advice is to take all of the dash out before you start, it will save you time.
Sharky , I made the swap on my 82 to a tko . The tremec and 700 are the same length and I used a set of pedals from an early c3 . The pedals were a straight bolt in with no problems . I used a clutch master an slave cylinder from 80's truck as per Norvals suggestion and it all worked out fine .
