Temperature Signal for Computer
Does anyone know where the 1981 computer gets its temperature signal to switch mixture control to closed loop? I just switched my thermostat to a higher (standard) temp range one and the dash gauge is still reading lower than expected. I suspect the sender but also want to know if this is affecting the computer control.

It uses a coolant temp sensor on the front of the intake. If it is original it will be round with two wires attached. If it's been replaced it will be oval with a weatherpac connector and the two wires will be spliced to the new plug. It is not related to the temp gauge.
