78 Factory Power Door Lock Question
I have replaced the power door lock actuators in both the driver side and passenger side doors and used a repair wiring harness from Eckler's and have replaced both switches. At this point the system is working intermittently. Sometimes I hit the DS button and it works sometimes no. The PS doesn't seem to do anything but dim the interior dome light. It also seems that putting the key into the lock cylinder has a positive effect on the operation. I have noticed wires going to the lock cylinder. To anyone that has 78 or newer with PDL, is the purpose of this that the DS door lock must be in the unlocked position for the PDL system to operate?
