Wiper Wiring- Need Help
Hey Guys-
need help on which way the plug plugs in on the back of the wiper switch. been apart to long and I forgot to write it down. Did everything else but that I forgot. There is a tang sticking out the side of the plug. Does it go to the drivers side or passenger? They just worked the other day before I unpluged it to put in the new gauges. I tried both ways and just hear a clicking noise? did I short something out by trying both ways?

If it's like the one on my 76, it only really goes in one way. IIRC there are little tabs at an angle on the lugs, and the connectors have a slot for these. You can force it in upside down, but it's much harder since the tabs are squeezed underneath the connector. I don't know what happens if the switch is hooked up backward. At worst, you may need another motor (I picked a rebuilt one up last week at a discount place for $50).
