Is the 3/8th hose from the overflow tank to the radiator special? I bought some 3/8th from the parts store that is essentially fuel line. It's got the imbedded fiber braid, but it's not as beefy as the original hose.
I'll be driving the car a lot today and I don't want to find out the hard way that their is special 3/8ths heater hose that I need for this run.
That hose doesn't see pressure, it just moves water from the overflow to the tank and back under a slight vacuum. It does see heat but that is no big deal. Is it really 3/8th inch?? That seems big to be sliding over the little nipple on the overflow??
They don't clamp this hose to the overflow so the hose needs to be a tight fit.
You're talking about the hose from the rad to the expansion tank. That hose has cooling system pressure and good quality fuel line will work fine...Norval's "late" model has that new fangle system
