Tach not Working
I have a 1981 Corvette and cannot get the tach to work.
I believe it has something to do with the wiring/sending unit – I have tried different gauges in the car and they all do the same thing: move when the ignition is turned on and nothing more.
It looks like there might be a filter (or something) that the tach wiring runs through, there are a bunch of wires and I am not sure where they all go.
Any advice, or maybe a wiring diagram? Any suggestions on how I can diagnose?

On a 1980 there is a Tan wire coming off the distributor that goes to tach filter. It is silver about as round as a dime and several inches long.
If this is non working so will your tach.
Check all your connections first.
