Need alternator help...

Damn alternator is too far back...

I'm having a hard time lining up my alternator. Does anyone have a pic of your mounting setup you can post? It sits about 1/4" too far back right now, and the belt is rubbing the p/s pump.

I'm sorry I dont have pics but do know that mine gently rubs on edge also and I have correct pulleys as far as I know. I dont see how it can be avoided without moving pulleys fwd.

Jeff - mine had stainlees steel washers used to shim it out. I know that isn't the "factory" route but it worked fine.

Thanks guys. I had to shim it forward with washers about 1/4". It clears the PS pump by a little now. I can't figure out if it was like that before and I just never noticed or what.
