Here's why it's difficult using the stock C5 rails. That pedestel on the front lifts the seat 5inches from the frame. Even with the pedestel cut off, the remaining rails add 2.5 inches to the height of the seat.

Yep - Rob, we drilled out the rivets holding that pedestel on (per Tylers instruction) so next time Im over there, just have a seat in my car and you'll know!
I used 94 model seats, after seeing them in 69MyWay's vert. I used the 69 tracks, and it was a very easy mod. They fit perfectly.
All I had to do was drill two holes per seat (on the back) for the tracks. The fronts matched up. Then, I used about 1" of large washers in between the track and the seat on the front to lean it back to a more natural position. I will be going back in and taking out the washers, replacing them with a little more 'professional' spacer in the future. I personally think they sit a littel lower than the stock seats. I wish I had measured, but I'd dare to guess 1/2 - 3/4"? They also hug you real nicley, but getting out of the car is a little more difficult because of the higher and stiffer butt-slide-preventer pad on the left side.
