Seems simple enough. I would like to replace my steering damper, but there doesn't seem to be any options. The only place I can find them are the corvette supply houses and all they carry is OEM. Does anybody no the part numbers of non-OEM dampers. I have Bilstein shocks on my car and wouldn't mind having a matching damper, but at $70+, I'd rather be buying something better than OEM.

Many years ago, as a college student, I had a summer job at Delco's Dayton, Ohio shock absorber plant. As I remember, the engineers there were very proud of the quality of the shock absorbers being manufactured there.
I have replaced the shock absorbers on my 68 with Bilsteins, but as far as I can tell, the original Delco's are still in good condition. (They look a little grungy and they don't have enough damping for my fiberglass spring.)
