I believe the Bilstein Sport is recommended if you have or are going to install a fiberglass rear spring. I read somewhere the Sport shocks are about 30% stiffer then the Bilstein Heavy Duty.
Unless they say Sport, they are likely the Heavy Duty.
In reality, it(along with the other emoticons) means nothing more than a method to run up one's post count without meaningful contribution. Though, the kinder description of just sittin' back and watching this drama unfold suitably represents the code for it: lurk
It's a bag of popcorn like you get at the movie theater. So it's like pulling up a chair and sitting back to watch.
I'd like to know how the bilsteins turn out for you. I want to get my car to handle better than my friend's Subie WRX
After you put them on and drive, you realize it's a no-brainer, the Bilsteins make a big difference especially if you have a GOOD set of tires to compliment them. First take the vette for a ride around the block for a reminder of how it feels, then go home and install the Bilsteins, then go for another ride taking the same course and you will be smiling.
I'm with you DP77vette, I am about to purchase bilsteins and would like to know what model would be best for a daily driver.

I dunno - I use it to say that I think the thread is one I'm really interested in. I want to see the responses, and I encourage them, but I don't have anything to add. I've only used it a few times.
VBP advertises some KYB "GR2" shocks for use with their fiberglass springs which they say are "custom made" for VBP. any body know anything about these? i must "assume" it's not just a gimmick as VBP has an excellent reputation.

I have them on mine. I'd say the ride is a little soft-maybe bouncey.
I'd wish I would have went with the Bilsteins
