i removed my drivers door handle and getting to the nut closest to the jam was no easy feat... whats the easiest way to get it back on when the new one arrives...

It's a tough one--do you have a wife or kid that has small hands? Otherwise give yourself a frontal labotomy-- they are about the same level on the fun scale

If you take the door latch loose and allow it to drop down in the door, it will free up a lot of space to get to the rearmost nut. Remove the 3 large phillips screws that hold the latch mechanism to the rear edge of the door and let it drop down out of the way.
After several hours and more than a few layers of skin I tightened the one that I could get on and gave up. That was 3 years ago and they are none the worse for wear today. You would never know a nut was missing unless you pulled the door panel and looked.
If anyone has any great ideas as to how to handle this please advise. I have large hands and do not have access to any small hands. I tried the flexible extension method but there is not enough clearence to get a socket onto the nut.

You might just as well accidently clean it and re-grease it while it's out too.
I did make one improvement--I made my own door handle gaskets out of the rubber that's used on the A-arm shield. It's thicker, stiffer, and covers any paint irregularities around the new door handle.
Those door handles are a pain, but they sure do look great don't they?!
When I took my handle off to replace it the handle did not have a nut on the bolt closest to the door jam. To replace it I used one of those new style ratcheting wrenches. I set the nut in the round ratchet end and put the handle in on top of the nut . It worked for me , Good Luck.
i was thinking about cutting the thread and leaving just enough for the nut, that way i can drop the handle in and have enuff room to get the nut on... whaddya think
