Default Help - can you identify these brackets?

I purchased my 1973 350ci vette this winter and finally getting around to working on it. I don't have the original build documentation and am not sure what was originally attached to the brackets shown in the picture. Any help would be appreciated.
Also - if I remove them, do I need to be concerned with bolt lengths or torque?

One on the passenger side is smog pump. Other is just the ring for lifting the motor out, I think.

The top one is for the A.I.R. pump (emissions), the bottom is one of the factory lifting brackets when they installed the motor. I'd replace the bolts with shorter ones where the A.I.R bracket was, the intake manifold bolts are 1.25" long, need sealer, and torque to 20 ft-lbs. The water pump bolt also needs sealer, but I don't know how long it should be, measure yours and subtract the thickness of the bracket. I like leaving the lifting bracket, it keeps the factory look, but that's just my opinion. Don't throw out the A.I.R bracket, they are hard to find. Joe

Smog pump and lifting hook. there should be another hook diagonally oposite on the rear of the motor.

Thanks - do you know if California is the only state that required smog pumps in 1973? I am trying to research the car's history and that might be a good lead.

Ditto here, don't throw anything out, and take a photo of everything...
