wiper question 72 vette
help! my wipers will cycle once when i push the wiper wash button. If i turn the switch to low or high without pushing the button all i get is a clicking sound near the wiper motor without the wipers working. thanks Mark

Hey guys,
I had the "clicking" sound too with no motion. My pump has never worked so I don't know about that one. However, the clicking is the motor on low and high. You most likely need a new one, or rebuilt from the local parts store. Check your wiring though. If you do need a new one, make sure the wiring is right. Mine had a hot wire plugged into the ground which shorted the motor out. I went through 2 motors before I found this.

Autozone sells rebuilt wiper motors for $55, with a $10 core. Got one for my 68 and it worked perfectly.
Part # for a '72 is 40-152.
I would agree to pull the washer pump off to get a good look at the motor.
