Default Connecting Shorty headers to Exhaust

I replaced my '77 Ram horn exhaust manifolds with some block hugger shorty headers.

What do I need to do to connect the stock exhaust pipes to the header collectors?

Yup, to the best of my knowledge there is no kit to adapt these directly to the rest of your exhaust. Custom fitting necessary but should be reasonably priced at your local (don't even think about Mida$! All they touch turns to gold! ) shop. Mandrel bends rec.!

How do the block header shorties fit and what kind did you buy? Any problems with bolting them on?

I have Sanderson block hugger headers for angled valves, and Patriot side pipes. I paid a local muffler shop who does a lot of side pipes and he charges me $90 bucks to fit them up. I just got in the phone book and ask if they were familliar with side pipes, and I had block huggers and he gave me a price over the phone. No suprises either.

I just drove mine up to the exhaust shop with the open shorty headers and they knew when I pulled in the parking lot what I came after. They cut my existing pipes and welded them to the collectors. Worked out real good.

How did you make it there without getting pulled over?

I bought some flex tube/pipe to hook them up temporarely for the ride to muffler shop, sure my neighbors did not appreciate the flowmasters at 7 am but they do not know how much worse it could have been.

I had Tuffy do mine, and I guess it was a Tuffy cuz they did a **** poor job, would have been better off at the local high school shop class.
