Default JUST as one thing is fixed, something else breaks. Power Window...

So after tons of time fighting with my brakes, everything is working beautifully now. Just need to make some final adjustments to the pushrod.

Well, as I come back from a nice long test ride last....Pass side power window would not go down. I plan on doing some prelimanry analysis tonight (check power to switch, switch operation, wiring under center console) to see what I can start ruling out. Are the switches or window actuators the most likley culprit? My money is on the window actuator.

Most of the time it's the motor that goes bad. Try hitting the door and see if it works.

Or just pull the panel off, and check the motor itself.
Most of the time, the tracks get dirty and grease gets hard.

After 25 years, mine did that two weeks ago, instead,it would not go up.The next day I went for a drive and tried it,and it came up.down,up....and has worked since.I think the switch plug/wire got loose,or something.Still have original motors. Check switch first,as you plan to. Hope mine stays up next time,so I can at least lock it up.
