Default Power window adjustments

I am in the process of realigning my windows with the gaskets that I installed about 8 mo ago. Damn, I hated removong those nice shiny silver door panels again, but I didn't get the alignment just right the first time in haste to finish the interior and get to a show. Now the time has come to 'get it right' whereas the air \water leaks are gone and the windows glide up as they should. This must be an age old problem for a lot of folks out there in vetteland, but I'm in need of a few tips or techniques to make the operation less of a PITA. So for I'm into the job for about 5 hrs and its getting real frustrating , so any help would certainy be appreciated. By the way, I own a AIM and it is a good general guide to see what does what, but I'm interested to know what others have done to simpify the process.
Thanks in advance,
Mike

I'll be following this myself. I adjusted my windows last week using the AIM. Passenger side is excellent. Drivers is not so good. Looking for tips.

1971 Corvette Registry has some pretty good instructions.
