Melvin, since your bushings are already installed, spray them liberally with silicone lubricant. Unlike oils and solvents, silicone will not damage poly. In addition, it will outlast Armour All, which is water-based.
This may or may not be true, but how many people actually drive their Corvette at the limit on the street? If so, how do you find enough money to pay for the speeding and dangerous driving tickets?
While I agree with your point 100%, I think, unfortunately, the answer is "way too many" drive their Vettes to the limit on the street. I've said this same thing before and been pounced on for it...."Performance driving" belongs at a TRACK.

That's brilliant. At least when some yuppy soccermom plows into you while you're doing some track manuver on the street, I live close enough to you to bid on whatever is left of your Vette
Things have changed way too much to 'race' on the streets and highways now a days. Way too much traffic to even consider it. Maybe I am getting older and more conservative, but I like to think I am wiser now. I do not want my daughter, myself, or anyone for that matter being injured due to someone driving in an unsafe manner.

I had some swaybar squeaks at one point but the (very) occassional spray silicone or whatever eliminated that. Stiffer ride? Maybe if you are "sensitive." Nothing I've noticed, even before I put in the springs I have now.
Is this turning into a streetracing thread? More to the point, at the limit has nothing to do with it. Handling is more precise throughout the range, unless you drive like a granny you will notice a difference. And I hope your car can handle precisely at the limit when that yuppie soccermom tries to plow into you. Which brings me to the reason I think every competent driver should autocross...
Cost difference is negligible also. Rubber didn't hold up for 25 years, that's just when we decided to replace our long-since-wornout rubber.
The street is my track.
Now I drive pretty spiritedly, but I'm not gonna back you up on that one!
