Quick help needed!!!

Question: on the weatherstriping that attaches to the B-pillar that touches the rear of the door glass, should there be a metal retainer?? I am putting the 77 back together and cant find any metal that goes there!! Is the weatherstripping glued to the body or should a metal retainer be there? Help!! thanks

I think when I did mine last year there was a metal strip inside the weatherstriping and then it was riveted to the pillar. I think!

Just did my 78 over the winter. No metal retaining strip in there. The rivets just grabbed onto the glass.
