I would strickly use organic pads, they are kind to the rotors and for that one panic stop will match anything. They are not good for repeated panic stops since they fade with heat.
Metalic pads work better hot but eat rotors.
Wagner makes a good organic inexpensive pad sold my most auto parts stores.

For your use, I'd have to agree with Norval.

How are the organics about brake dust? This is one area of concern for me. I know they all make dust but some are worse than others.

semi metallics eat rotors !!! On my daily driver this is ok, the rotors are only $38 each so I usually replace rotors with every second pair of pads and don't worry about it...
On the Vette... I use organic pads to safe the rotors, $14.99 at AutoZone.

Cut rotors (slotted, dimpled, drilled, etc) DRAMATICALLY increase dusting and pad wear.
