AC refill capacity??? (82)
I finally gathered up the parts to put my AC back together. I had the manifold work itself loose on the back of the compressor. New seals are in hand.
So after pumping it down, how much juice do I put in it??? I already heard something like 2.5 cans. Is that right or close??
What pressure's should I see???

I was pretty sure the sticker on the evap box says 3 lbs which would be more like 4 cans of R12. (I have an 82 evaporator in my 69) If using R134 it would be less. I'll try to remember to look tonight.

We filled it up today, used 2.5 cans and the low pressure stayed below 30...
I'm going to try it for awhile, and add more if it's needed when it gets hot.
We saw 48 degrees out of the vents, outside air temps were about mid 80's...
