Default Vacuum Questions

OK some vacuum questions. First time Vette owner here, just purchased an extremely nice 68 convertible. Should the wipers and headlights come up by just using the regular controls or should you have to use the **** under the dash and exactly how is that **** suppose to work? What are the two other items directly to the right of it? Mine dont seem to do anything but maybe Im just not doing something right. Also can you hook up an extra vacuum can liek you would do for power brakes if you have a big cam that will help in creating more vacuum to operate the lights and wipers.

Sorry if thse seem like dumb questions but liek I said, first time vette owner and not really sure about some things and this seem sliek the best place to ask!

only time you use the ****, known as the wiper over ride switch, when you want to change the wiper blades...leaving the switch in the on position will drain your battery when ignition is off.

OK so the wipers should work just by using the switch then correct? So is turning the **** to the right the ON position and to the left the OFF position? The headlight doors should also operate by the headlight switch then by the sound of it. What about the other two things to the right of the ****? What are they for?

On a '70, one is used to raise the headlights for washing, the other opens the wiper door...

I'm a first-time Corvette owner too and my wiper door moves around a bit on its own. I look at all these vacuum threads but for some reason it's a tough subject to master. I've found that you need to "fiddle" with all the ***** to know what operates what and then get a good vacuum plumbing guide. Feels good when you finally solve the problem! Good luck.
