The Scat Billet cranks are top notch. They also make a lower price crank that is just a forged piece, not a bad crank and usually thought of as better than an Eagle.

Rarely do you have a crank problem, eagle,gm,scat, whatever, until you start using a supecharger or big nos systems ,even 2bolt cranks hold up to huge power if put together right. The rod bolts are the most important thing not to skimp on and to tighten down correctly.

True; but he said money was no object, and if you want the best, get the best.

What's a 2 bolt crank? Did you mean 2 bolt block? I agree a 2 bolt block is as good as a 4 bolt, until its broke. Try RACE Engineering in Florida (561-533-5500) They sell very nice engine parts.

Moneys always an object,If its not get the complete engine from shafiroff and be done, nothing beats experiance.By the way john my first trial run yesterday hit 161mph at 4.46 eighth mile on 50 percent nos max 2 seconds after full throttle, thats comp dragster territory, never been happier.Car dead straight til the gear change then it jumped a lane.Shut it down.

Not to steal the thread but that is 7.00 at 200+ Mike, unreal. It is probably time you went to a glide. You may be fighting an uphill battle with the 400 for traction. Do you have a 2.20 first gear set in it or a stock ratio 2.48.

Its 2.48,The same glide built to handle my power is around 5 thou,my 400 was 3 thou, plus major money on my converter ,shifter, etc, I like the shifting,I might go to a 3.50 rear gear, eventually I see a bruno-lenco in it. mike
